The Holder of Sounds

Go to any mental institution or halfway house you can get yourself to. Make sure you bring an MP3 player, or something which plays music. Talk to the receptionist, tell him/her you wish to visit "The Holder of Sounds". He/she will nod and lead you down a hallway with many doors on either side. Do not pause to look through any of the doors or answer any of the receptionist's questions.

After a while, you will reach a door at the end of the hallway. Open it and then lock the door behind you. You will see ahead of you a maze. The maze is different for each Seeker who enters it, but what is not different is the noise. If you haven't yet turned on your music, then you will hear the chanting. If you hear the chanting before you turn on your music, plug your ears, squeeze your eyes closed, and quickly put on your headphones. Make sure you play the same song on a loop, for if you listen to more than one song, your music player will stop working and the chanting will drive you mad.

Enter the maze and complete it. At the end, you will see the Holder of Sounds. Ask him, "What sound does it make?" He will turn and look at you. Ask him again. Then he will start chanting, similar to the kind in the maze. Turn your music to the highest setting it will go. If you manage to avoid listening to him, he will stop shouting. At that point, you turn off your music. He will then give you two earplugs.

These are Object 819 of 2538, the Earplugs of Quiet. When using them, you cannot make a sound.
